Kindergarten Registration Information for Cedar Cliff Local Schools
Cedarville Elementary will be hosting a Kindergarten Informational Meeting on April 28, 2022 at 6:30pm. The meeting will be located in the school cafeteria.
Children must be five years old by August 1st to enroll in Kindergarten. All children six years of age must be enrolled in school or registered with the Greene County Educational Service Center in an approved home education program.
Parents will use an online system to register their child, and must also provide the following information prior to August 5, 2022:
Students will not be enrolled for Kindergarten in August if we have not received these documents in the office prior to August 5.
At the April 28 meeting, details will be given regarding appointments for the Kindergarten screening process and a complete description of the screening process will be provided as well. These fun screening activities will help staff assess the child’s readiness for Kindergarten and provide valuable insight that can assist with the decision to enroll at this time. All Kindergarteners must also receive the hearing and vision screenings provided at the district’s screening event, or must provide the information from their family doctor.
All students must register for Kindergarten, even if they have been enrolled in the preschool program.
For more information, please contact the Elementary office at (937)766-3811.
We had eight kindergartners gather together at our first gathering! We're looking forward to getting everyone together again soon.
Our next gathering is scheduled for this Thursday, July 22 at 6:30PM. However, I recently found out (via Facebook) that this Thursday, July 22 from 4PM-10PM is Cedarville night at Young's. For anyone new to the area, Cedarville Night is for the entire Cedarville Community and is a great chance to interact with your neighbors and community members. I've included the information for the community night below.
Due to the community night, I propose that we reschedule this Thursday's gathering at the Community Park for next Thursday, July 29 at 6:30PM at the Cedarville Community Park. As before, none of these gatherings are a requirement and they are not sponsored by Cedar Cliff Schools.
I know my family will plan to be at Young's and if you plan to be there too, please feel free to reply all to this email letting everyone know and what time you think you'll be there. My idea is that perhaps we can meet up at the kiddie corral at a mutual timeframe to say hello. I apologize for changing our plans, but when I scheduled our gathering dates, I was not aware of the Community Night.
Please let me know if you have any questions and I hope to see everyone at Young's or when we gather again on Thursday, July 29 at 6:30PM.
